One from the vaults!

Night of the Hunter is a southern gothic thriller starring Robert Mitchum as a psychopath posing as a preacher. It was the only film directed by actor Charles Laughton as initially it was a flop, but is now recognised as a classic.

It also inspired a string of later movies which would all use the “Night of the…” title concept, and we will unearth some of the notable ones from the vaults this week…
